24 hours with Louai Alasfahani

7.45am Wake up another day another buck. Feed Macho (my cat) who also doubles as an alarm clock.

8.00am Quick shower and shave.

8.30am Short drive to the office on Kuwait’s scenic gulf road.

8.45am Sip espresso while checking the e-mails (so much spam so little time).

9.05am Skim through tonnes of local and regional print media.

10.15am Smile and grin at the work produced by our creative department.

11.00am Make and take some calls more coffee please.

Noon Crunching numbers and revising media schedules.

1.00pm Do lunch/shisha with industry colleagues at Al Andalusi the make-shift IAA Kuwait office.

2.00pm Head back to the office to go through contact reports.

3.00pm Meeting with the financial controller.

4.00pm Signing cheques.

5.00pm More calls.

5.15pm Last minute booking requests by clients.

6.00pm Check the e-mails again before rushing out of the office (please no more spam).

6.15pm The drive back on gulf road.

6.30pm Dinner with my better half.

7.00pm Fiddle with my new digital 10.3 mega pixel camera. Hmmm, I wonder what will happen if I press this button?

8.00pm Play hide-and-seek with Macho then give him his favourite treats.

8.15pm Zap the news on TV or watch a movie.

10.15pm My mobile rings crisis management “what do you mean the newspaper misplaced our ad for tomorrow”.

10.45pm The phone rings again crisis resolved “sorry sir we found it”.

11.00pm Catch up on reading some trade magazines.

12.00pm Switch to reading a good book.

1.00am Get ready to hit the lights Macho get off my pillow!

1.05am Zzzzzzz (dreaming of a better world).
