In April the team responsible for Blog Anubis will be celebrating its first anniversary after attending the 2009 Dubai Lynx Advertising Festival. The blog which is less than a year old was launched right after the 2008 Dubai Lynx in order to bring attention to the fact that some agencies are getting awarded for copy-cat and ghost/spoof ads which is not only unfair for the agencies that are competing ethically with real work that is published and approved by clients and as a result this damages the reputation of the awards specifically and the image of the advertising industry in general. Thus Anubis was born and managed in a relatively short time to prove it’s worthiness as a much needed and anticipated  addition to the blogosphere which currently is the 4th top ranking blog in the Middle East on Advertising & Design.

It is on this happy occasion that  I announce to all the readers and fans of Blog Anubis that I will be reporting LIVE all the News and Views on the Dubai Lynx, Up-Close and Personal.

May the force be with you; some of you will need it 😉

ANUBIS was a very old god of the ancient Egyptians, universally worshipped throughout the land and became considered the gatekeeper and ruler of the underworld; the “Guardian of the veil“ he was “Lord of the Cleansing Room” and the opener of the roads of the North. “He observed the weighing of the deceased’s heart against the feather of Maat [Truth] and reported his findings to the jury of the gods.
